Have ya been "Jones-ing" to get out there and groove to the live sounds of Seymour & Smith?
Well, we've been Jonesing to play for y'all, too.
Since last July, a couple of our band members have been dealing with some serious medical issues (involving complex and protracted treatments).
There's still a bit of work to be done on this front, but we've reached a point where we're able to play out again, and dang it, we want to play for our friends!
So we're excited to report that we've been busily polishing up our sets, and we've got a few new gigs coming up!
Seymour & Smith will kickoff the "After Party" festivities at this popular annual event in Sherwood's Old Town. The car show itself runs all day (9am - 4pm) and our set starts immediately after the trophy presentations. Two bands! "45th Fret" (classic rock) goes on at 5 pm. Seymour & Smith at 7:30. This is the Lodge's 60th anniversary celebration, featuring a silent auction, live music, and dinner.
This event is a fund raiser to upgrade the Lodge's restrooms for ADA compliance (wheelchair accessibility). The event is also a membership drive. If you are not an Elks member, you can experience the Lodge and the event as a guest. No admission fee required, but the Elks would appreciate your donation to the cause, as you are able.
There is a (steak or chicken) BBQ dinner with sides for $25. After 8 pm, bar food is available (deep fried light food).
